Business Support Specialist [Temporary 12 Months]

Join our dedicated team where we are responsible for specialist asset lifecycle management and engineering services for ESB’s transmission and distribution businesses.
We are looking for a Temporary Business Support Specialist for 12 months to join us on our journey to a Brighter Future. The Business Support Specialist will be a key support for the management team and the Transmission & Distribution Engineering (TDE) group. The role supports delivery of the TDE Business Plan in alignment with ESB strategic objectives and values. The Business Support Specialist plays an important part in helping the TDE organisation deliver for the ESB Net Zero Strategy 2040.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Create purchase orders for the TDE organisation
- Provide ongoing operational support to the TDE management team
- Coordinate inputs and provide support on TDE Dashboard KPI monitoring. Generate reports for TDE management team
- Coordinate TDE business updates, liaising with EMP Communications
- Plan and coordinate delivery of internal technical training for TDE staff
- Manage TDE communications briefing delivery and outputs
- Support CAM Manager and the TDE management team with the TDE competency assessment process
- Coordinate and participate in Corporate Social Responsibility programs
- Other business support tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key. You will have the autonomy to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues.
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative or business support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio.
- A flexible approach to work.
- Ability to follow proven procedures to maintain databases dashboards etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- A flexible approach to work.
- Strong ability to prioritise work.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of SharePoint
Location
This role is based in our Dublin office at OneDAC, Dublin Airport.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. Salary
€40,100 - €47,200
