Insurance Team Member
Position Description
The Commercial Insurance Team are involved in all aspects of the design, negotiation, placement and maintenance of the Insurance Programmes providing cover for ESB Group activities worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a range of insurance-related administrative tasks including invoice processing, contractor/subcontractor insurance reviews, and documentation management. The role involves assisting the insurance team with all aspects of the work, working with team members who have overall responsibility for the negotiation and placement of certain policies, in range of €0.2m to €1m in premium terms. The successful candidate will establish good working relationships with ESB’s insurance brokers, and the Management Team in all areas across ESB Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop good working relationships with ESB’s insurance brokers and the Management teams in all areas within ESB Group.
- Responsibility for all invoice processing and ensuring that invoices are paid within specified credit terms
- Contractor/subcontractor insurance reviews together with input into appropriate insurance levels required by ESB for a range of activities relating to the procurement of goods and services.
- Assisting team members with negotiation and placement of certain policies such as Motor Fleet, Liability, Travel/Personal Accident, Wind/Solar and similar policies.
- Ongoing management of claims on certain policies including ESB Motor Policy.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- An insurance or risk management qualification, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial experience.
- Good analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of policy wordings, standard clauses, etc.
- Strong numeric skills.
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a team
Location
This position will be based in ESB Head Office, 27 Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Dublin.

Reporting to
The successful candidate will report to a Senior Insurance Specialist on the Commercial Insurance team.

Salary
€48,100 - €56,600 per annum (depending on experience)
