Position Description

ESB has a centralised Finance Operations organisation that provides a range of Finance services across ESB Group, including Accounts Receivable.

 

The role of the team member in Accounts Receivable includes the management and collection of all unregulated revenue due to ESB Networks, receipting and application of payments and resolving of unallocated payments. It also includes the billing of all unregulated income on behalf of ESB Networks, supporting Distribution & Customer Services staff with new works jobs to be re-quoted, managing referrals and processing cheque refunds.

 

This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop/enhance the following skills; knowledge of SAP and ISU, working to specified deadlines, appreciation of finance operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Management, collection and billing of unregulated income. 
  • Support staff with new works jobs to be re-quoted.
  • Manage referrals and process check refunds.
  • Invoicing for all unregulated income. 
  • Receipting and allocation of payments on a daily basis.
  • Debtor follow up.

 

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Third-level qualification or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to deliver high quality of work to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).

Desirable

  • Prior experience of working with SAP is desirable but not essential 

 

Location

This position will be based in Wilton, Cork

 

Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary 
€33,500 - €40,200 per annum (depending on experience)
