HR Policy Manager
Position Description
As HR Policy Manager, you will report into the Group Head of Employee Relations, Policy and Reward. Your role will be to lead the development, review and implementation of HR policies, ensuring that they reflect best practice and support the delivery of the ESB Net Zero Strategy and HR Business Plan.
The HR Policy Manager will undertake consultations with HR colleagues, specialist contributors and key stakeholders and manage the process of reviewing and developing HR policies, ensuring they are compliant with current legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an overall framework of HR policies for implementation across ESB:
- Lead a programme of review of the current HR policies
- Lead the production and development of HR policies and processes
- Working with the key stakeholders across HR to ensure policies are communicated and implemented successfully
- Ensure policies comply with legislative requirements
- Provide insights on the direction of policy to the HR Senior Leadership team
- Ensure policies are up to date and reflect latest developments in effective people management
- Ensure policies are Implementable and monitor / evaluate Policy implementation (Audit / Metrics)
- Work consistently and successfully with all senior stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A relevant degree or equivalent and be CIPD qualified or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience working in a related field
- In depth and up-to-date knowledge of employment policies, practices, and employment law
- Proven experience of HR policy implementation in a large and complex organisation, delivering successful outcomes
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong critical thinker and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and initiate action
- Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical principles aligned with ESB Core Values
Desirable
- Working knowledge of Irish, NI, EU and UK Employment Legislation
- Process / Project Management experience
Location
This position will be based in Fitzwilliam 27, ESB Head Office, Dublin

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€69,500 - €81,800 per annum (depending on experience)
