Position Description

 

The successful candidate will be based in PDS and will support the team in gathering, understanding, documenting and challenging business requirements and assessing their impact on existing processes, systems, data and people in line with agreed principles and strategy. The Profile Data Services (PDS) team is responsible for Quarter Hourly data collection and delivery to Market Participants within the service levels and timescales agreed with the CRU. The primary role will involve supporting the Manager PDS in delivering on these service levels. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Providing input into the identification of both technical and process-lead options to deliver business requirements and improvements

 

  • The generation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual statistics for distribution both internally to PDS as well as to wider stakeholders

 

  • Ownership and management of PDS Quality Control measures including further development of same

 

  • Preparation of the annual Standard Load Profiles and unmetered Public Lighting profiles

 

  • Completion of the Annual Reconciliation Audit as required by Metering Code

 

  • Managing and communication with both internal and external stakeholders

 

  • Development of analytic tools to streamline existing processes and design new processes on ad hoc basis

 

  • Support delivery of projects & programmes on time, to design and within budget across RMS

 

  • Maintain strong safety, quality and performance culture

  

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

 

Essential

  • 3+ years relevant work experience is essential
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to make use of these skills to develop and present findings in order to support operational decision making
  • Ideas-driven and creative in finding solutions/designing improved methods, systems and processes
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of the ROI electricity Retail Market
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to act and work on own initiative

 

 

Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work (of a minimum of 3+ years) experience is essential

 

Desirable

 

  • Knowledge of MV90 system
  • Knowledge of ESB Networks business in relation to the Retail Market
  • Experience of SAP systems

The successful candidate will report to the IT & Quality Control Team Lead, Profile Data Services (PDS)

Salary

€49,000 - €58,000 per annum.
