Position Description 

Facilities Management (FM) at ESB ensures buildings and facilities are managed safely and efficiently, supporting ESB’s brighter future strategy. FM oversees hard and soft services across over 90 premises through multiyear national contracts valued at over €140 million, managing over 1,000 contractors. This ensures ESB operates in well-maintained, suitable, and safe workplace environments.

 

Demand & Operations Management prioritises projects, allocates resources based on business criticality, and interfaces between the business and FM, providing governance and reporting for FM. The new role supports the Demand & Operations manager in ensuring plans, resources, and systems are in place for project delivery. Key features include managing governance, compliance, financial, and business reporting and control.

 

Strong collaboration across FM and with the wider business is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and management of FM projects and maintenance requests, ensuring effective intake and prioritisation.
  • Maintain schedules and dashboards for FM projects, tracking progress, finances, risks, and issues to ensure effective project management.
  • Provide data analytics and reports to identify trends, support decision-making, and ensure accurate evidence for contractor payments.
  • Collaborate with the wider FM team and stakeholders to manage requests, responses, and reporting, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop sourcing plans with alternative options, working closely with the contract team to meet demand and implement strategies.
  • Assist the Demand & Operations manager in stakeholder communications, presentations, and process development and improvement.
  • Validate and analyse CAFM system reports, support contract management, and ensure timely reporting on contracts and operations.

 

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • 3rd level education or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in a similar role
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for internal and external relationships.
  • Proficient in IT systems, Excel in particular
  • Experience with help desks or CAFM systems is desirable but not essential
  • Have an innovative approach and be able to demonstrate ability to actively contribute to a team that delivers results

Location 

This position will be based in ESB Head Office, Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.

Salary

€40,100 - €47,200 per annum (depending on experience)
