The CAD Specialist with experience in Civil & Structural detailing and drawing production will support the delivery of engineering projects across ESB’s HV linear infrastructure portfolio. The role will involve close collaboration with civil/structural engineers to produce high‑quality drawings, 3D Drawings and documentation for foundations, steelwork, tower structures, cable civil works and associated subcomponents.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings across all project phases—planning, detailed design and construction.
  • Prepare and update drawings for:
    • Tower and Pole foundation layouts
    • Reinforcement detailing
    • Structural Steelwork
    • Underground cable ducting, chambers and trenches
  • Incorporate drawing updates, ensuring adherence to document management procedures.

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

  • Level 6 NFQ or suitable CAD qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent).

 

Desirable

  • Experience in utility, transmission, linear infrastructure, steelwork or concrete design.
  • Valid driver's license for ROI, access to a car, and flexibility to travel nationwide

 

Location 

This position will be based in ESB E&MP’s Offices in Dublin or Eastgate Cork.

Salary

€41,000 to €48,000 per annum
