The CAD Specialist will play a key role in the delivery of engineering projects for ESB. This role involves close collaboration with design teams to produce 2D drawings, 3D models, BIM models, and other visualisations / simulations to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support production of engineering works packages by producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings for all project stages: planning, detailed design and construction
  • Incorporate design changes and maintain version control of documents
  • Provide technical input to project teams and collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality and compliance with standards
  • Co-ordinate with civil, electrical and project engineers to interpret design requirements and integrate multidisciplinary inputs into coherent CAD outputs

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

  • Level 6 NFQ or suitable CAD qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good communication and time management skills

 

Desirable

  • Working towards Chartership it in a recognized professional institution
  • Experience in utility or linear infrastructure projects or steelwork design
  • Valid driver's license for ROI, access to a car, and flexibility to travel nationwide

 

Location

This position will be based in ESB E&MP’s Offices in Dublin or Eastgate Cork.

Salary

€41,000 to €48,000 per annum
