Position Description 

The Asset Information area in ESB Networks is responsible for maintaining and updating the data and systems that describe the Electricity Distribution System. These systems are used to design, maintain and operate the Electricity Distribution System and prepare ESB Networks for future flexible markets, smarter networks and the decarbonisation of heat and transport.

 

Within this area, the Central Network Mapping team is responsible for maintaining and updating ESB Networks’ Geographic Information System (GIS) which is linked to and supports ESB Networks’ Operations, Customer and Asset Systems. In addition, to all mapping data and records used in ESB Networks; and provided to external stakeholders.

 

Both permanent and temporary contracts (12 months) available.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating ESB Networks’ GIS systems and associated data and records.
  • Ensuring all data and records are maintained to a high standard.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Dealing with general queries from external stakeholders.
  • Working with the team and other parts of ESB Networks to address issues as they arise.
  • Delivering high quality work that adheres to company standards and policies.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Team Lead as required from time to time.

 

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
  • Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office and/or Large Enterprise Applications.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable

  • Knowledge or experience of Geographic Information Systems is an advantage.

 

Location

This position will be based in St Margarets Road, Finglas, Dublin.

Salary 

€32,000 – €38,000 per annum
