Change & Experience Lead
Position description
ESB is seeking a seasoned Change & Experience Lead with a proven track record in delivering people-centred change management strategies within large-scale change and transformation programmes to join our team.
The Change & Experience team is responsible for delivering structured, integrated change management services to projects and programmes within ESB’s IT Portfolio. Working within our IT Delivery function, you will be part of a highly motivated and skilled team of IT Professionals working to achieve maximum value for our customers and all our IT investments across a range of technologies.
In this role you will be responsible for designing and delivering end to end change management services for assigned projects/programmes (from strategy to implementation), adopting leading change management practices and methodologies, and people experience.
The ideal candidate will:

Key Responsibilities
The Change & Experience Lead is responsible for the delivery of Change & Experience services for projects / programmes within their assigned programme or portfolio, including:

Develop, maintain and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans to support the effective delivery of change services for projects and programmes at ESB

Directly lead and deliver impactful change management initiatives that support the adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and cross-functional teams to identify impacts of change on people, processes, and technology to support targeted change interventions

Build and maintain relationships with others and manage key stakeholder relationships

Lead, motivate and manage team members as required

Design, develop and deliver core change & experience deliverables such as: Change strategy and plans, personas and change journeys, communications plan and collateral, training needs analysis and materials, business readiness, stakeholder engagement plans, culture interventions, change effectiveness metrics etc.

Measure and report on the effectiveness of change initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes

Manage and report on Change & Experience workstreams in project/programme governance structures

Mentor and guide teams and key stakeholders through the change process, using deep experience in change management principles, methodologies and tools to influence and gain buy-in
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
-
Minimum 7 years’ relevant change management experience, ideally delivering Change Management roles on Digital or Business Transformation Projects / Programmes.

Demonstratable understanding and knowledge of change management principles, approaches, methodologies and tools (e.g. PROSCI etc.)

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders.

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities
-
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels in an organisation
-
A team player, able to work collaboratively with and through others.
-
Experience delivering in project teams and environments
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
-
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
-
Recognised third level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
Desirable
-
Experience using personas and journey mapping to support people centric change strategy for business transformation.

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile projects)

A solid understanding of people experience (PX) and design thinking principles
-
Experience engaging with and managing senior stakeholders
-
Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.

Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges

Understanding of or previous experience delivering projects in Utility industry
-
Qualification in Change Management (Prosci, CCMP etc, Organisational Change, Change Leadership or equivalent is highly desirable.

Qualification in Culture, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Psychology or equivalent.

Qualification/Certification in in Project Management e.g. Prince2, PMP or Agile/Scrum
Location
This position will be based in ESB Head office, F27, Dublin 2.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
Reporting To
The role reports to the Change & Experience Services Lead, IT Delivery – Methods & Resources.

Salary
€69,500 - €81,500 depending on experience.
