Civil & Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer with 3 years post-qualification experience, focusing on overhead lines. 

In support of ESB’s strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure and empowering clients, you will work with the team to provide overhead lines design, maintenance and engineering solutions to ESB Networks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing civil and structural designs to Eurocodes and other relevant specification requirements.
  • Preparing material specifications and developing standard designs and drawings.
  • Producing technical reports and drawings.
  • Conducting condition assessments of existing infrastructure.
  • Performing risk assessments of designs.
  • Preparing conceptual civil & structural designs for input into technical feasibility studies.

 

Experience and Qualifications 

Essential

  • Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety legislation to support the ESB Safety Culture.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical report writing skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritise with excellent organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in design using Eurocodes.
  • Experience in finite element modelling and data analysis.

 

Location

Your base will be at One Dublin Airport Central.

Salary

€48,000 to €59,000
