Creative Experiences & Events Manager [12 Months]
Position Description
This is a key role within the Corporate Brand and Reputation team, which will contribute to the development of ESB’s reputation strategy and provide thought leadership relating to their area of expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of corporate events for ESB, from creative development through to execution. They will ensure that ESB hosted events and experiences engage stakeholders in a memorable and compelling way and meet a standard of excellence that is consistent with ESB’s leading brand position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and produce creative events, conferences and experiences that communicate ESB’s brand purpose and value to our customers and stakeholders in a compelling and memorable way.
- Seek out speakers, entertainers, influencers, and other key people that fit with ESB’s brand to participate in ESB events and conferences.
- Manage the “Ardnacrusha Experience” (public tours of Ardnacrusha Power Station). Ensure quality business case rationales are prepared with robust goals, KPIs and effectiveness tracking in place, and manage performance to agreed KPIs.
- Identify, target and secure opportunities for ESB senior executives to be represented at third party events.
- Negotiate contracts with partners and suppliers and ensure compliance with procurement processes and procedures. Manage the performance of external agencies and suppliers to deliver outstanding results to time, scope and budget.
- Engage with safety colleagues to undertake safety audits and develop safety plans and policies relating to ESB events, provide assurance and documentation that all necessary safety standards have been achieved.
- Monitor and report on industry developments and competitor activity.
- Actively contribute as core member of the Corporate Affairs team with cross functional responsibility as required, helping to build capacity and drive innovation across ESB.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
- A creative thinker with the appetite and ability to take on ambitious and high-profile projects as well as smaller events with the same degree of flair and attention to detail.
- A proven track record in collaborating with diverse teams of operational, financial, safety and creative people to deliver top class events and experiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.
- Flexibility, resilience, and problem-solving capability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and budget management skills.
Desirable
- An innovative approach to using technology to support the organisation and activation of events.
- Strategic understanding and an ability to align creative ideas with business requirements and stakeholder insights.
Location
This position will be based in ESB, 27 Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Dublin 2.
ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day and a minimum of two days per week in-person. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
Reporting To
This role reports to the Corporate Reputation Manager.

Salary
€57,000 - €68,100 per annum (depending on experience)
