Customer Solutions Manager - Smart Energy Services
Position Description
ESB Smart Energy Services (SES) delivers carbon reducing integrated energy solutions for large energy users across the UK and Ireland. We do this by deploying technologies such as Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage, Lighting, EV Charging Infrastructure, and Energy Management Systems on customer sites. The Customer Solutions Manager will play a key business development role, and is responsible for growing our customer base and delivering behind-the-meter energy projects. This customer-centric role requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and close collaboration with clients to design and implement tailored energy solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Customer Solutions Manager to help us manage and grow our key customer accounts. The Customer Solutions Manager is a customer centric role requiring close collaboration and engagement with each customer to design, develop and deliver the best technical and commercial solution to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities in Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage, Lighting, Electric Vehicle charging Infrastructure & Energy Management solutions.
- Account management and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with customers.
- Support project delivery to meet customer’s expectations.
- Driving innovation in everything we do around energy savings technology.
- Working across the ESB Group to leverage the best skills and expertise we have available.
- Participate in or manage strategic projects
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business development and project delivery within the energy sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage, Lighting, and EV Infrastructure.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering complex energy projects on time and within budget in the relevant markets.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into commercial solutions.
- Experience with large energy users and distributed generation technologies.
- Familiarity with ROI and UK energy markets
Desirable
- 3rd level qualification (Engineering or Business Management)
Location
This position will be based Swift Square, Santry, Co. Dublin. The successful candidate will spend time working on client sites across other parts of Ireland and GB. Some international travel may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€69,500 - €81,800 per annum (depending on experience)
