This role is focused on supporting and challenging business performance across Electric Ireland’s business markets, providing electricity and gas products to some of the largest businesses in the country as well as a large proportion of SME’s across the island. The role supports commercial decision making, the development and implementation of business strategy and maintaining a robust governance and control framework.
The role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner for the business creating a real and active partnership, becoming a trusted adviser, and making a difference in our business.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial support and challenge to the business to assist in delivering their strategic targets including all opportunities for growth of business markets in both Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland ensuring an appropriate risk and reward approach.
- Support the day-to-day financial performance of the business areas, including proactive engagement to ensure growth, profitability, and alignment with strategic KPIs including decarbonisation goals.
- Collaborate with Business Mangers to ensure success in delivering quality, value-adding service, and innovative low-carbon offerings.
- Support the development of the Integrated Business Planning process from a financial perspective, ensuring alignment with strategy and business plans; agree key assumptions with FP&A team and Business Units; Support the development of financial analytics to drive data-based decisions across the business.
- Manage the end-to-end financial relationship from the business partner, FP&A and A&R to ensure a seamless support to the business and present to key stakeholders in the Business on various projects and financial issues.
- Support maintenance of a robust governance and control framework.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A recognised professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a finance or commercial role, ideally with exposure to business performance analysis or decision support.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand and interpret business drivers and market dynamics.
- Curious and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
- Strong ability in building relationships across teams and influencing stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience as a Finance Business Partner.
- A good knowledge of financial accounting and reporting systems (SAP 4Hana, FMIS & BPC etc.) would be an advantage.
Location
This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€59,900 - €70,500 per annum (depending on experience)
