ESB are seeking an experience Finance Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercially challenging and supporting all business opportunities to ensure an appropriate risk and reward approach.
- Managing the day-to-day financial performance of the Business areas, including proactive engagement with the Business and JV partners to ensure targets are met.
- Developing corrective action plans with Business Managers and JV partners to address performance gaps.
- Supporting Business Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting processes; agree key assumptions with FP&A team and JV partners where applicable.
- Managing, leading, and developing all financial analytics for the business either within the BP team or co-ordinating with the Forecasting Planning & Analysis team to support all business decisions.
- Managing the end-to-end financial relationship from the business partner, FP&A and A&R to ensure a seamless support to the business.
- Presenting to senior stakeholders in the Business on various projects and financial issues.
- Liaising with stakeholders including external auditors in relation to statutory financial reporting.
- Supporing maintenance of a robust governance control framework within the relevant business lines.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience, including a recognised professional accounting qualification with 4+ years' post qualification experience.
- The ability to understand and communicate the key drivers of financial performance.
- A commercial mind set with effective analytical and interpersonal skills, comfortable in dealing with senior management.
- A capacity to work on own initiative, and to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
- An ability to write clearly and concisely for business purposes.
- Stakeholder management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage relationships to influence solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a demanding workload, including appropriate prioritisation of short term and long-term deliverables.
Location
This position will be based in Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€71,900 - €84,600 per annum (depending on experience)
