To meet the increasing demand for our services, we are looking to recruit energetic and enthusiastic Governance and Risk professionals who are looking to further develop their career in an exciting and fast-paced environment. There are currently opportunities for Governance Manager positions within a number of our business units. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support maintenance of a robust governance control framework within the relevant business lines.  
  • Review and support and/or implement processes and systems to ensure robust governance, and evidence for the same across the business.  
  • Manage the quarterly and annual governance sign offs as required.  
  • Co-ordinate the risk management process within the business unit.  
  • Liaising with Group Internal Audit & other relevant stakeholders  
  • Review and update risk control matrix in place for key processes.   
  • Driving and maintaining a strong Governance Culture 
  • Take the lead on any Continuous Improvement Projects arising in the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) area  

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

  • 7+ years relevant experience  
  • Relevant third level degree or qualification is required
  • An ability to act independently 
  • Strong Governance, Risk or Compliance knowledge & experience   
  • Strong communication skills with a proven stakeholder management experience  

 

 

 

Desirable

  • Proven track record in implementing or enhancing governance / risk frameworks 
  • Knowledge of Finance and the energy industry would be beneficial 

 

 

Location

 

This position will be based in F27,  Dublin.

 

Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary

 

€71,900 - €84,600 per annum, depending on experience.
