HR Business Partner [Temporary 18 months]
Position Description
As a key member of the Customer Solutions HR Team, the HR Business Partner will positively impact colleagues and leaders in the organisation whilst ensuring HR processes and programs are implemented in a manner that adds value to the business.
HR Business Partners deliver a range of HR services and support across the Business. They advise, coach and support management teams on people-related initiatives and issues. They act as the business lead for specific HR areas within the Business Unit, such as Strategic Resource Planning, Performance & Development, or Succession Management etc.

Key Responsibilities
- Relationship and Stakeholder Management: Build strong, trusted professional relationships across the business to understand business priorities, workforce needs and people related challenges. Work collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence and other HR teams to deliver people initiatives and support continuous improvement.
- HR Business Planning and Business Support: Share HR plans, priorities & KPIs with business leaders, support implementation and review progress. Influence, guide and coach managers on people matters, including performance management and implementation of ESB Reward models.
- Strategic HR Initiatives: Take lead responsibility for key strategic HR areas on behalf of the HR Team. Areas of lead responsibility may include Talent Management Plans, Succession Planning, Capability Planning & Delivery, Attendance Management, Performance and Development, Change Management.
- Resourcing: Support managers with workforce planning and resourcing strategy, including the development of business cases for resource approvals outside of the Integrated Business Plan / Strategic Resource Plan. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure recruiting business resourcing requirements are delivered.
- Employee Relations: Coach and support managers in addressing Employee Relations matters, ensuring solutions align with ESB Policies and Procedures, and employee terms & conditions.
- Change Management: Support organisational change initiatives and foster a high-performance culture through effective people management and development. Support the implementation of Group-wide HR initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years’ relevant experience, with previous experience in a HR Business Partner role.
- Knowledge of HR Practice, Policies and Procedures, and Employment Law.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Highly analytical and detail-focused, with strong problem-solving skills.
Location
This position will be based Swift Square, Santry.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€71,900 - €84,600 per annum, depending on experience.
