To further enhance our capabilities and to transform ESB to a data driven and digital utility, we are looking for Graduates to join our highly motivated and skilled team of IT professionals where you will have the opportunity to deliver results in a fast-paced, innovative team environment.
Our IT Graduate Development Programme is structured into six distinct career paths where you will be able to grow your experience, as well as develop the necessary skills to help you on your way to career success.
At ESB, we operate one of the most advanced and critical technology landscapes in Ireland. We manage a vast array of Enterprise IT and Operational Technologies (OT) which reside in our state-of-the art data centres, power generation plants, and critical operations centres – all requiring the most advanced levels of cybersecurity to protect our businesses from cyber vulnerabilities.
Together, these technologies support our critical national infrastructure, and ESB’s Cybersecurity teams are responsible for assuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of ESB’s IT and Digital systems and data. As part of the Cyber team, you will help provide appropriate protection, response and risk mitigation for ESB.

Structured Rotations: – Our graduate programme is typically structured into targetted rotations aligned with career paths and capability development where you will build your IT and business knowledge through challenging assignments, a diverse range of business activities, and the potential to work on projects.

Learning & Development: – Central to our programme is your learning and development. Structured leadership development, training opportunities, innovation programmes. on-the-job learning and work-shadowing are complemented with personal development programmes and supports designed to help you grow professionally and personally.

Performance Orientated: – At the start of each of your rotations, you will agree with your Line Manager the goals of the assignment and put in place the steps to help achieve them. Ongoing one-to-one conversations and management reviews will ensure that you are constantly working towards achieving your professional status and position you for a career with ESB.

Supportive Working Environment: – In addition to your immediate support network of Line Manager, Middle Manager, Team Colleagues and Graduate Peers, you will also be assigned a Buddy and a Mentor.

Social Networking: – Over the last few years our Graduates have been involved in all sorts of Sports and Social activities. Anything from Tag Rugby, Cricket, Soccer and GAA to language classes, team building challenges, charity work and graduate social events. Location
This position will be based in ESB Head Office, F27, Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 4.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make our in-person time together as purposeful as possible while enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction in which they are employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration with your team at least two days per week.
What We Look For?

You should have (or be working towards) a minimum 2.1 Honours Degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Business or an equivalent course where IT was a component.

Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent analytical skills, combined with the ability to learn quickly.
