Land Access, Claims & Compensation Administration Support Specialist
Position Description
The Land Access, Claims & Compensation Administration Support Specialist role is a dynamic and engaging position within the Strategic Land Access Team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong administrative capabilities and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The successful candidate will provide proactive support across all areas of Land Access and Claims. They will also contribute to the implementation of change initiatives and continuous improvement programmes aimed at delivering the overall functional strategy and enhancing team efficiency. The role has a broad range of responsibilities as listed below.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the claims & compensation function by receiving and recording all incoming claims, ensuring verification of all relevant information, and liaising as required with Legal and the Conflicts Team.
• Prepare and present recommendations to the Claims Manager regarding the acceptance or rejection of claims, supported by appropriate evidence and documentation.
• Develop and maintain good relationship with other sections such as Legal departments, the E&MP conflicts & project teams, valuers, etc to ensure effective execution of the role.
• Ensure all cases are accurately recorded using the G Designer recording system and database.
• Monitor and report on all aspects of claims management & land access issues providing clear and timely updates as required.
• Support all areas of strategic land access such as monitoring & supporting the implementation of agreements, policies, Site Acquisition & land access issues.
• Providing clerical & administration support to Strategic Land Access team.
• Develop knowledge of and competency in the use of the necessary IT systems such as SAP, G Designer, FMIS, PHR etc.
• Other duties that may emerge in the Land Access area or as assigned by the Manager.
• Working as part of a flexible team, the successful candidate may be involved with all aspects of the above work.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
• A relevant 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a claim’s environment or within a legal case management/dispute resolution function or administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written communication abilities, including report and letter writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional team and deliver results within agreed timelines.
• High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in IT systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
• A legal based qualification.
Location
The successful candidate will be based in one of the following three locations – ESB Networks Leopardstown Road, Dublin 18, ESB Networks Wilton, Cork or ESB Networks Rosbrien, Limerick. The base location will be agreed with the successful candidate. ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction, with attendance at the workplace for in‑person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€40,000 - €47,000 per annum.
