Marketing Manager
Position Description
ESB is looking for a high impact senior Marketing Manager to join its Marketing and Customer Insights Team. This is a key role in shaping perceptions of the ESB brand in line with ESB’s ambitious Net Zero 2040 strategy and new creative platform “For future us”. Responsibility includes developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies to support ESB branded businesses (including ESB Corporate, Generation & Trading, ecars and People & Sustainability).
As a key member of the Marketing & Customer Insights Leadership Team, this role drives engagement, positive change and marketing effectiveness across customers, employees, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Position ESB as a modern, trusted, and relevant brand, while driving awareness, understanding, and alignment with ESB’s communications platform “For future us” and ESB’s Net Zero Strategy.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve ESB’s brand business goals, securing stakeholder agreement and reporting quarterly on performance, insights, and budget.
- Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to the Head of Marketing & Customer Insights and lead key projects, reports, and presentations as required for ESB branded businesses.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of marketers.
- Review and optimise ways of working within the Marketing & Customer Insights Team and across ESB, ensuring clarity of roles, best practice adoption, and marketing effectiveness.
- Identify and implement event management plans for customer, stakeholder, and industry engagement, ensuring alignment with ESB’s sponsorship portfolio and stakeholder events.
- Manage and optimise the allocated ESB marketing budget in collaboration with each business unit, ensuring maximum efficiency, economies of scale, and full transparency.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Third level marketing qualification and minimum 10 years’ experience in senior marketing management roles essential.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver and implement strategic marketing plans with clear results.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement at senior levels, ideally within complex or regulated environments.
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Commercially astute and able to apply strategic reasoning, analytical and budget management skills.
- Strong understanding of sustainability communications and behavioural change principles.
- Team player and solution orientated, with the ability to multitask
Location
This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry one day a week, and F27 office on the second anchor day. There is also an expectation for some travel and to attend offsite marketing events and meetings with business units at other locations as required.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least TWO anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€83,000 - €98,000 per annum, depending on experience.
