Join our dedicated team where we provide overhead lines conflict, claims and arbitrations services to ESB Networks.
The team specialises in:

Commissioning on the ESB transmission and distribution systems. These services include: 38kV, 110kV, 220kV and 400kV Overhead Lines
-
OHL condition assessments
-
Annual maintenance Inspections work programmes
We are looking for an Overhead Lines Commissioner to join us on our journey to a Brighter Future
Key Responsibilities
-
Overhead line commissioning
-
Station Commissioning of busbars, gantries, lead-in connections etc.
-
Overhead line maintenance inspections
-
Condition assessment reporting
-
Annual distribution and transmission helicopter patrols
-
Drone inspections on distribution and transmission lines
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key. You will have the autonomy to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues.
Essential
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in transmission and distribution, and generation; or equivalent power utility consultancy.

Overhead Line Inspection and Commissioning experience
-
A proven track record in power utility design or maintenance (transmission lines experience would be preferable).

Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, design standards including Health, Safety & Environmental Standards, legislation and Electrical Safety Rules.

Excellent interpersonal skills and report writing skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
Essential
-
3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience

Full driver’s licence
Location
Your base will be at one of our offices situated at One Dublin Airport Central or Eastgate Cork. Other locations will be considered.

Reporting to
Overhead Lines Commissioning Senior/Team Leader, Asset Management Services, EMP.
Salary
€45,000 to €53,000 per annum
