Position Description

 

Applications are invited for a Team Member position to manage the running of international payrolls. As part of a skilled and professional team, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the running of several international payrolls and managing tax positions of employees who are on overseas assignments.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Input and manage a range of payroll services to ESB employees.

  • Timely and accurate end to end processing of payrolls.

  • Delivery of an excellent customer enquiry service to managers and staff

  • In conjunction with line managers and HR Shared Services, ensure compliance with ESB agreements and terms and conditions

  • Ensure PAYE and Revenue data is updated and compliant.

  • Ensure tax compliance in a variety of jurisdictions and comply with local tax authorities e.g. HMRC in the UK.

  • Working closely with other members of the team to ensure payroll timelines achieved.

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Irish Payroll Processing

  • A good working knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and practices.

  • SAP Payroll software experience an advantage although training will be provided.

  • An orientation to working with detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy.

  • Strong administration and organisational skills to ensure effective and timely delivery of services

  • Experience dealing with complex, numeric data.

  • Proficiency in Office 365

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skill.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on a range of duties as assigned

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

 

Desirable

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. IPASS) would be an advantage but is not essential

  • Knowledge in specific international payrolls requirements i.e. shadow payrolls, exclusion orders, certificate of coverage, hypothetical tax.

  • Experience in tax equalisation.

  • Knowledge of tax accounting i.e. tax returns and tax equalisation calculations.

This position will be based in ESB Head Office, 27 Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Dublin (D02 KT92) F27

Salary 

 

€40,000 - €47,000 depending on experience.
