Planning & Reporting Specialist Lead
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Planning & Reporting Specialist Lead to join the Programme Coordination Team within Networks Projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic support, leadership and coordination across a complex portfolio of projects, supporting effective decision-making, programme delivery, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across the organisation.
In support of ESB's strategic objectives of building resilient infrastructure, delivering net-zero ambition and enabling Ireland's energy transition, you will provide programme leadership and coordination across one of ESB's largest and most strategically important infrastructure portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Programme Coordination Manager through issue escalation, strategic initiatives and leadership across the wider Programme Coordination Team.
- Provide leadership to the Planning & Reporting function and coordinate programme activities across the E&MP Networks Projects portfolio.
- Lead coordination across delivery teams to ensure alignment of resources, milestone reporting, project priorities and programme objectives.
- Provide strategic programme insights, delivery analysis and recommendations to support informed decision making by management.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including ESB Networks, EirGrid, the Project Controls Office and supporting business functions.
- Identify, escalate and support resolution of programme-level risks, constraints, dependencies and resource challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programme performance, planning capability, reporting and delivery efficiency
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in programme management, project management, project coordination, planning, reporting or a similar discipline
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, utility, engineering or capital investment programmes.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups and organisational boundaries.
- Demonstrated experience in programme performance management, forecasting, prioritisation and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful business insights.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and delivering operational efficiencies.
- A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Construction Management or a related discipline, together with proficiency in MS Office, Power BI and SAP systems
Desirable
- Experience working within ESB, ESB Networks, EirGrid or another regulated infrastructure environment.
- Professional Project or Programme Management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent).
Location
This position will be based in our Dublin City Centre office. Periodic travel within Ireland will be a feature of the role, full clean driving license and access to a car will be required.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€71,000 to €84,000
