The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the delivery of civil and electrical engineering projects. This position covers all aspects of quantity surveying from project inception to completion, including cost management, contract administration, and commercial risk oversight. This role involves close collaboration with design teams, ESB partners, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost management function throughout all phases of a project
- Preparation of Order of Magnitude Costs and tender documentation
- Tender assessment and evaluation
- Post Contract Commercial Management and Cost Reporting
- Promote and play an active role in the safety management culture across all activities by taking ownership and demonstrating visible commitment to safety.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum Quantity Surveying experience of 3 years (Post Qualification)
- The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Good commercial and project management skills
- Good safety awareness and communication skills
- Valid driver's license for ROI, access to a car, and flexibility to travel nationwide
Desirable
- Experience in the use of Cubit software.
- Experience in Civil Engineering and / or utility or linear infrastructure projects
- Experience in FIDIC Conditions of Contract
Location
This position will be based in ESB E&MP’s Offices in Dublin or Eastgate Cork.

Salary
€48,000 to €56,000 per annum
