Project Coordination Specialist
The Programme Coordination team in Networks Projects ensures that there is a consistent and real-time status of the Networks Projects work programme and liaises with the EMP Project Delivery teams, Programme Management team, Networks Customer and Delivery teams and Networks Programme team in providing information monitoring and supporting the master work programme. This group monitors and coordinates EMP Networks Projects inputs and resource requirements to the work programme.
The Programme Coordination Specialist will be responsible for gathering and coordinating resource and schedule information for Networks Projects and maintaining real-time Networks Projects work programme information. This role will require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain Networks Projects work programme delivery requirements, ensuring accurate information is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with EMP Programme Management team, other areas of Networks Projects and Centre of Engineering to record, track and report on EMP Networks Projects inputs to the work programme ensuring budget, scope and time milestones are achieved.
- Manage and maintain the commercial and project inputs required for Networks Projects Programme Reporting, PMO, PCO and Management Reports.
- Proactively monitor and analyse Networks Projects project and programme performance, highlighting variance to key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Centre of Engineering, Network Projects, Networks Customer and Project Delivery and Networks Programme Team to ensure project programmes are updated, accurate and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Maintain and update databases and SharePoint libraries of information to deliver the Networks Projects Programme Coordination team objectives. This includes maintaining commercially sensitive records and the implementation of appropriate governance.
- Analyse project commercial and delivery information and implement continuous process improvements.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A strong project management capability, with a track record in the use of project management systems, in a delivery or support role.
- A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to time, quality and cost objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate effectively with a large group of colleagues on a range of work tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to deliver on a range of work tasks.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to project manage and prioritise own work.
Desirable
- Knowledge of FMIS and SAP based management systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project software.
- Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and Dashboard reporting
Location
This position will be based in Engineering and Major Projects Offices in the Sidings, Dublin 2, or Eastgate, Cork.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week.
