Project Manager

Generation Projects within E&MP has been established to develop all generation projects, both renewable and thermal projects, as well as managing overhauls and construction projects. Renewable projects include Onshore wind, Offshore wind, Wave, Solar PV, Battery Storage, Port Development, Hydrogen and other Emerging Technologies. Our projects range from major utility scale offshore wind farms over 1000MW to small distributed solar projects, battery or wave demonstration projects. A Project Manager is now required for the development of The Green Atlantic at Moneypoint Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of individuals in the delivery of multiple projects.
- Working with these multidisciplinary team develop project master plans and ensure projects are completed in accordance with the agreed programme, risk, budget and to the appropriate quality and safety standards.
- Manage all key project stakeholders (internally, externally & contractors) in ensure the successful delivery of the project.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance to all relevant Health Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) standards.
- As appropriate report project progress to relevant line & Senior Management and / or relevant project boards in line with the approved project master plan.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A minimum of five year’s relevant experience. Experience of working independently from own initiative, taking ownership of work / projects and motivating team members to deliver team objectives or projects.
- Level 8 qualification in engineering/physical science or a marine related field
- Primary engineering degree, a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
- Excellent leadership skills coupled with a proven track record in delivering medium to large scale projects, with relevant experience in managing engineering and project teams.
- A proven track record of delivering significant technical (engineering or other) input to offshore wind projects
- A thorough understanding of offshore wind projects and industry.
- A strong working knowledge and experience of involvement in key offshore industry groups and the current status of their interests
- A demonstrable record in the development of health and safety requirements and their application to offshore projects
Desirable
- A strong current participation in industry working groups.
- Experience with ESB’s Project Management Methodology or alternate project management processes such as PMBoK.
- Experience in Port Development / Construction / Operation
- Experience in wave energy demonstration projects
- A thorough understanding of offshore wind or wave projects.
- Experience of negotiations and commercial ability.
- A proven track record of delivering significant technical (engineering or other) input to onshore/offshore projects
- Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies with a team, including with JV partners.
- Background in Civil & Structural Engineering or similar
- Master’s in engineering/Physical Science or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status with a recognised engineering institution or demonstrate evidence of progression towards same
- PMP Certification
Location
Your base will be at one of our offices situated at the Sidings, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Salary
€71,000 to €84,000 per annum
