Join ESB’s Group Property & Security team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workplaces. We are delivering a series of major property projects that will modernise our office and depot environments, creating sustainable, low-energy spaces that support agile working and Net Zero by 2040. As an experienced Project Manager in Property & Construction , you will lead complex, high-profile developments from concept to completion, working with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to deliver projects that make a real impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage property-related construction projects, coordinating all activities from initial concept through to successful completion.
  • Champion the highest safety standards across all project phases, ensuring all statutory roles are filled by qualified professionals.
  • Lead and motivate multidisciplinary consultant teams, guiding them through the design and delivery processes to achieve project objectives.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Legal teams to develop robust contract and procurement strategies, ensuring the successful appointment of consultants and contractors.
  • Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from tendering to contractor selection, in partnership with the Procurement team.
  • Manage project budgets in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and approved in line with company policies.
  • Ensure full compliance with all building regulations, BCAR, ESB policies, planning guidelines, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office to implement industry best practices and proven project management methodologies.

 

Experience and Qualifications 

Essential 

  • Level 7/8 qualification in architecture, architectural technology, quantity surveying, civil/structural engineering, or a related construction discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years’ post-graduate experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong project management expertise, including governance and programme management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and decision-making under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience managing diverse property projects from design through to delivery.
  • Proven ability to present project plans and outcomes to senior leadership and project boards.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and modern workplace design principles.

 

Location .
This position will be based in 27 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€71,000 to €84,000 per annum
