The successful candidate will join the Property, Planning & Environment and Employment Law (PPEEL) Team. The in-house Solicitor will, as a member of the PPEEL Property team, provide legal expertise and advice on conveyancing transactions for ESB.
Key Responsibilities

The completion of conveyancing transactions, in particular the acquisition of MV substation sites and the granting of easements, from initial instruction to completion and registration
-
General commercial conveyancing work looking after the ESBN technical property infrastructure including regularisation of title

Managing own caseload working closely with line manager

Working with/supporting other members of the team

Meeting with and advising ESB business clients in particular ESBN Engineering Officers

General property law research and advisory work

Advising on and ensuring adherence with ESB’s Corporate Governance frameworks
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
-
Minimum of 2 years post qualification commercial conveyancing experience in a legal practice and admitted and enrolled as a solicitor in the state

Demonstrates expertise in commercial conveyancing including sales, purchases, granting and taking easements, leases and licences, Contracts for Sale, Requisitions on Title.

Strong planning, organisation and case management skills with a track record of managing a large caseload effectively

Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results while working to tight timelines and with others through teamwork and collaboration
-
Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to communicate effectively with others and carry out negotiations with third party solicitors

Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Office 365 package.

Sound commercial judgment and “can-do” attitude

Reporting To
This role will report to a senior solicitor of the Legal team and will be based in ESB Head Office, F27, Dublin in line with ESB's Smart Working arrangements.

Salary
€48,100 - €56,600 per annum depending on experience
