Position Description  

The Communications and Reporting Specialist will work within the Group Safety Health & Environment (SHE) Support Team, supporting the business in the areas of safety data analysis, reporting, engagement and communications. They will prepare monthly and quarterly KPI updates for the SHE Senior Leadership Team and Executive Committee.

 

They will also provide leadership and be responsible for the planning, development, execution and ongoing evolution of internal Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) communications. They will also manage and take part in promoting SHE initiatives including Safety Auditing & Assurance, Centres of Competence, and Health & Wellbeing promotion.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to make a significant contribution to ESB’s Net Zero future while developing their career across a range of competencies and acquire in-depth knowledge of ESB’s Safety, Health and Environment Function.  

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Analysis and interpretation of SHE incident data and associated trend analysis.  

  • Preparation of SHE reports for Executive and Senior Management and SHE Support Managers. 

  • Synergi Life (Incident, Audit & Risk IT system) and SHE SharePoint site administration. 

  • Development of SHE internal communications. 

  • Preparation of SHE monthly newsletter and management briefing insert 

  • Liaison for SHE data input into ESB Annual Report. 

  

Experience and Qualifications  

Essential 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business Analysis, IT, Communications or similar role.  

  • Experience of researching, developing and publishing leadership communications. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.  

  • Ability to work on one’s own initiative, apply attention to detail and meet deadlines. 

  • Experience in presenting information and ideas using the MS Office suite and SharePoint. 

Desirable  

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 requirements and how they affect an energy utility organisation. 

  • SharePoint Site Administrator training. 

  • Hold a third-level qualification in a relevant field - Safety & Health, Communications, Marketing, Business, Psychology, or a similar complementary field.  

 

Location  

This position will be based in ESB’s Head Office at Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2. Some travel may be required.

Reporting To 

This role reports to the SHE Systems & Data Manager.

Salary 

€48,100 - €56,600 per annum (depending on experience)
