Financial Controller, Super Homes Electric Ireland

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial and commercial activities within the company. This includes but is not limited to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial projections, budgets and accounts for the Company
- Prepare and control the Annual Budget & Business Plan and oversee the general financial performance of the company.
- Manage and monitor the financial control framework (including purchasing procedures), ensuring compliance with relevant Company policies and procedures.
- Optimise the revenue and margins from the business by actively managing the product pricing and margin secured while optimising the cost of the business.
- Challenge and support the business to optimise the balance between delivery of products and margin secured
- Management of cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and potential investment opportunities.
- Manage finance facilities, including the compliance with contractual obligations of the company and act as the designated liaison with the banks (AIB & EIB) and shareholder loan providers.
- Provision of regular financial reports and accounts to management, banks, shareholders (for consolidation purposes) and Company Board. Financial reports to include but not limited to:
- Manage the efficient financial grant claims, processing, and payment of grants to homeowners
- Manage any recruitment, training and management of finance, procurement and commercial staff.
- Provide guidance and support to the Managing Director at Company Board meetings and on commercial and contractual issues.
- Manage the preparation and updating of the company Risk Register
- Develop and nurture internal and external relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Liaise with the company’s auditors and understand the impact of accounting issues on the company’s financial model.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Completed Bachelor’s degree
- Professional Accountancy Qualification with minimum 10+ years PQE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, Shareholders, SEAI and EIB.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a strong focus on results.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Proactive approach to problem identification and problem solving designed to ensure budgets are met
Location
Electric Ireland Superhomes head office is based in Thurles. This role will be a blend of office based and remote working.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€80,000 - €94,000 depening on experience
