Social Media Executive [15 Months]
Position Description
Electric Ireland is seeking to recruit a Social Media Marketing Executive to report to the Advertising Manager within the Marketing and Customer Insights Team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing social media marketing strategies and campaigns, overseeing daily operations, and conducting analysis and reporting on all social media activities.
This role reports to the Electric Ireland Advertising Manager and will be based in Swift Square, Santry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage All Social Media Channels: Oversee the day-to-day operational management of platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok, ensuring timely posting, scheduling, and brand consistency.
- Plan and Execute Campaigns: Collaborate with internal teams to support product launches, sponsorships, events, and e-commerce objectives, delivering integrated social media campaigns that align with overall marketing goals.
- Content Creation and Creative Briefs: Develop engaging content across multiple formats (educational, advocacy, brand awareness, and e-commerce) and prepare creative briefs that adhere to brand guidelines, working closely with creative agencies.
- Paid and Organic Media Management: Manage paid and organic social media activities, including budget allocation and optimisation, in partnership with media agencies to maximise ROI and campaign performance.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyse key metrics such as follower growth, reach, engagement, ad recall, and conversions. Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports with actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Customer Experience and Social Listening: Monitor social channels for customer feedback, escalate issues where necessary, and collaborate with the Customer Care team to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Support Advertising Team: Assist the Advertising Manager and wider team with day-to-day tasks and projects as required, ensuring smooth delivery of marketing initiatives. Ensure all Electric Ireland marketing activity complies with advertising standards, customer codes of practice, regulation, GDPR and Brand Guidelines.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A 3rd level qualification in Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
- Social Media Expertise: 2–3 years’ experience in social media and digital marketing, with a strong understanding of platform-specific best practices and trends.
- Performance & Analytics: Results-driven with proven ability to optimise campaigns using data insights; working knowledge of Google Analytics, Campaign Manager, and social media management tools.
- Creative & Copywriting Skills: Ability to develop standout creative tailored to each platform; excellent copywriting skills with strong grammar and attention to detail; experience in A/B testing for copy and creative.
- Content & Sentiment Management: Skilled in social media listening, engagement tools, and sentiment analysis to enhance customer experience and brand reputation.
- Budget & Agency Management: Experience managing budgets and collaborating effectively with creative and media agencies.
- Organisation & Communication: Highly organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across teams and projects.
Location
This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€41,500 - €48,800 per annum (depending on experience)
