Strategic Land Access Governance & Support Manager
Position Description
The Strategic Land Access Governance & Support Manager role is a dynamic and engaging position within the Strategic Land Access Team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong administrative, stakeholder and management capabilities and a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
The manager will be responsible for providing administration, reporting, goenance and performance management support and coordination to all the functions on the Strategic Land Access Team. They will be responsible for developing and managing their team effectively, to ensure the provision of best practice support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and managing their team effectively, to provide best practice support to all functions on the strategic land access team.
- Develop and maintain good relationship with other sections such as Legal departments, the E&MP conflicts & project teams, Eirgrid, valuers, etc to ensure effective execution of the role
- Develop and ensure process are in place to manage and provide governance on PR6 allowances and monitor and report on spend.
- Support, Monitor and report on all aspects of claims management & land access issues providing clear and timely updates as required to management team and legal.
- Support all areas of strategic land access such as monitoring & supporting the implementation of agreements, policies, Site Acquisition & land access issues
- Managing & ensuring due dilligence is completed on files relating to claims, special order applications, settlement and compensation agreements etc
- Manage and monitor risk register for the strategic land access team
- Develop and manage KPIs and Reports for the area including management report on specific infrastructure projects
- Ensure process are developed, implemented and managed in relation to settlement & upfront agreements, landowner compensation payments etc
- Engage with and manage where appropriate and required with external service providers such as valuers, legal teams and Agents to enable the team carry out it’s functions.
- Contribute to overall business development strategy.
- Other duties that may emerge in the Strategic Land Access area or as assigned by the Manager
- Working as part of a flexible team, the successful candidate may be involved with all aspects of the above work.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A relevant 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience
- 5 years’ relevant experience with particular emphasis on performance monitoring and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written communication abilities, including report and letter writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional team and deliver results within agreed timelines.
- Self-motivated with ability to plan and communicate requirements to progress new initiatives, and a track record of delivering work and/or projects, prioritising own work and the work of others.
Desirable
- A legal based qualification.
Location
The successful candidate will be based in one of the following three locations - ESB Networks Leopardstown Road, Dublin 18, ESB Networks Wilton, Cork or ESB Networks Rosbrien, Limerick. Other locations may be considered, and the base location will be agreed with the successful candidate This is a national role and there will be a requirement to attend meetings with team and stakeholders in various locations nationwide but primarily Dublin & Midlands.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

This position will report to the Stakeholder Relations Manager in the Strategic Land Access Team

Salary
€59,000 to €70,00 per annum
