Website & Digital Content Manager [12 Months]

The Website & Digital Content Manager will play a critical role in shaping and delivering ESB’s corporate digital presence, contributing directly to the organisation’s corporate reputation and brand trust. This is a senior leadership role within ESB’s Corporate Brand and Reputation team.
The successful candidate will have end-to-end ownership of ESB’s corporate website and related digital platforms. They will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, governance, and evolution of ESB’s digital ecosystem, ensuring it remains authoritative, trusted, accessible and optimised for a rapidly changing digital landscape shaped by AI, automation and emerging technologies ready digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Manage robust governance, approval and quality assurance processes for ESB websites and social media platforms, ensuring adherence to brand policy, guidelines, accessibility, legal and regulatory requirements. assurance processes for ESB websites and social media platforms, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, legal and regulatory requirements.

Develop and implement a corporate website and digital content strategy that communicates ESB’s purpose, strategy, values and impact, while overseeing end‑to‑end content planning and lifecycle management to ensure consistency, relevance and quality across corporate digital platforms.

Lead optimisation of ESB’s corporate website and user journeys, ensuring strong UX and effective performance across AI‑powered search, voice and emerging discovery channels.

Collaborate the wider communications and marketing community to ensure strong alignment and consistency between ESB’s corporate website, campaign activity, and social media presence.

Own and manage the performance of ESB’s corporate website using analytics and insight tools, translating data into actionable improvements and recommendations. Conduct regular content and quality audits to maintain high standards, accuracy, and relevance across the site.

Act as ESB’s subject matter expert for the corporate content management system (Sitefinity), working with developers and IT teams to ensure the platform is optimally configured. Collaborate with IT teams to deliver major web initiatives, upgrades, and enhancements, while ensuring continuity and performance of existing platforms.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential

Honours third level degree, ideally in digital communications, analytics, computer science, design, or business-related discipline.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior digital, website or content management role, ideally within a large, complex, or regulated organisation.

Strong expertise in website optimisation techniques including SEO, UX, journey mapping, content performance, and analytics.

Hands on experience with CMS platforms, ideally Sitefinity, and working closely with technical and development teams on experience with CMS platforms, ideally Sitefinity, and working closely with technical and development teams.

Strong understanding of AI, automation and emerging digital technologies, and their implications for content, search, governance, and user experience.
Desirable

Qualifications or formal training in digital marketing or digital strategy.

Google Analytics certification or equivalent.
Location
This position will be based in ESB Head Office, 27 Fitzwilliam St, Dublin 2.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

This role will report into the Corporate Reputation Manager, Corporate & Regulatory Affairs team.

Salary
€71,900 - €84,600 per annum, depending on experience.
