Position Description 

Admin team members in Stock Operations carry out tasks and responsibilities as assigned in a competent, timely, and safe manner.  Drawdown of Purchase Orders to Suppliers in a timely and cost-effective manner to agreed procedures and guidelines.  Follow up with Suppliers for delivery of overdue or urgently needed materials.  Develop successful business relationships with our Suppliers.  Enhance and develop internal relationships within Supply Chain, ESB Networks and E&MP.  Maintain excellence in ongoing customer service for all of our customers and Suppliers. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • As an integral member of the Administration Team, perform all tasks associated with the team’s activity. 

  • Create Purchase Orders for stock materials to ensure timely delivery of same. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensuring the cost effective administration of materials from them. 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant management procedures and practices. 

  • Develop excellent working relationships with the other Supply Chain teams and other ESB Networks Customers 

  • Provide a prompt and positive response to customer queries and other associated customer service issues.  

  • Support all Supply Chain operations and objectives.  

  • Actively support a strong Health & Safety culture within the team and in general 

  • Responsible for the Integrity of the materials database on SAP4HANNA 

 

Experience and Qualifications 

Essential 

  • A third-level qualification or equivalent relevant work experience. 

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a clear focus on safety, quality, and cost objectives. 

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. 

  • Proven ability to meet delivery schedules and consistently achieve deadlines. 

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills. 

  • Ability to engage with and influence a broad range of stakeholders effectively. 

  • Minimum of two years’ relevant professional experience. 

 

Desirable 

  • Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage 

  • Good level of proficiency on MS Office Applications es. MS Excel / MS Word / MS Teams. 

 

 Location 

This position will be based in ESB Depot Ballycoolin, Dublin or Cranmore Road, Sligo. 

While training attendance in the office will be required 5 days a week and when training is complete a minimum 3 days per week will be a requirement of this role. 

 

General 

It is not anticipated that a staff member still on probation will be eligible to apply for a promotional vacancy. 

Typically, an individual must have completed their probation and should have at least two years’ experience in their current role before being eligible to apply for a promotion.  

An application from a staff member who does not meet the above criteria must have the approval of both the senior line manager and the HRM within the BU before progressing to the shortlisting phase  

Note: For staff currently on non-monthly pay frequency, any promotion to Bands 5 and above will result in a change in pay frequency to monthly.  

  

Reporting to 

The successful candidate will report to the Stock Operations Team Lead.

Salary

€32,000 - €38,000 per annum
