Deployment Contractor Manager
Position Description
The Contractor Manager will be part of the Deployment Contractor Management team within the Meter Deployment Workstream. The Meter Deployment Workstream is responsible for the delivery of Smart meter installations and other Meter Framework activities. The Contractor Manager will be the main interface between the Deployment Contractor and ESB and will have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the delivery, quality and cost effectiveness of the contractor’s services through pro-active performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor on-going progress of work assigned to External Deployment Contractors.
- Ensure all work is executed to agreed contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Ensure Deployment Contractor installers are appropriately trained in line with ESB standards.
- Ensure that the Deployment Contractor’s work is completed safely, in line with all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Manage governance forums including weekly operational meetings and monthly performance meetings with the Deployment Contractor
- Work closely with the finance manager to ensure timely payment processing and resolve escalated contract issues and disputes.
- Work closely with the Deployment Workstream Operations Management team to resolve in-day issues related to Deployment Contractor work.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience is essential.
- Strong management capability.
- Strong commercial focus.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Advanced communications skills.
Desirable
- Experience managing External Contractors.
Qualifications
- A third level qualification or equivalent work experience (of a minimum of 5 years) is essential.

ESB Networks Finglas Office
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€59,000 to €70,000 per annum
