Position Description

The role of IT & Digital Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and evolving the IT & Digital portfolio processes which include the planning and budgeting of an annual and multi-year investment portfolio in line with transformation programme objectives, forecasting and reporting of spend v’s budget on a quarterly and annual basis and managing alignment of IT & Digital spend across regulatory allowances.
Key Responsibilities

Compile and manage annual IT & Digital budgets for ESBN working closely with ESBN Finance, Powering Ahead and DMSO Transformation Programmes.

Develop monthly and quarterly portfolio reports showing spend to date and forecast spend.

Develop and manage 5-year IT & Digital budgets and align with Business Programmes, Finance, CIO Portfolio Management and IT Delivery.

Manage IT Price Review (PR) allowance ensuring alignment with IT & Digital Portfolio and 5-year IT budget.

Ensure investment governance is implemented by supporting Transformation programmes in the capital approval process

Evolve the Portfolio Management processes to align with digital delivery practices e.g. increased agile delivery of value

Manage and develop the portfolio team in line with Networks IT strategic direction
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
-
An appropriate third level professional qualification (IT, Finance, Engineering, Project Management) or equivalent and relevant experience.

Minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
-
Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Proven ability to work and communicate with other functions, including cross-divisional and external suppliers to achieve business objectives.

Experience in stakeholder management leading to highly effective working relationships.
Desirable
-
Understanding of financial systems and processes.

Project Management Experience
-
Knowledge and working experience of ESB Networks IT systems and their operations. SAP, SRM, FMIS, Office 365 and others.

Experience using Microsoft Power BI to develop reporting dashboard solutions.

Experience in leading and managing people
Location
This position will be based in Three Gateway, East Wall Road, Dublin 3.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
57,000 - 68,000 annually.
