Safety Team Administrator, Safety, Health & Wellbeing
Position Description
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to support the Safety Engagement & Communications team in ESB Networks. The role is broad ranging, varied, and includes financial administration, purchasing, training logistics, and stakeholder support. It will suit someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with senior staff in a dynamic and high-trust team environment.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the ESB Networks business, enhance their own skills (including IT, purchasing systems, communications, and stakeholder management), and contribute to a positive and proactive safety culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key member of the Safety Engagement & Communications team, performing all administrative tasks required to support the team’s activity.
- Raise, manage, and receipt purchase orders using SAP in line with budget holder guidance and purchasing policy.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, training providers, depot staff, and senior managers.
- Arrange logistics and bookings for workshops, meetings, training sessions, and wider engagement.
- Work closely with senior members of the SHW function to ensure key actions, communications, and priorities are progressed in line with wider team goals.
- Ensure all data entry and document control is accurate and up to date
- Support the integrity of purchasing and budgeting records, ensuring timely closeout of receipts and reconciliation of invoices.
- Liaise effectively with other internal ESB Networks teams and business support functions.
- Actively contribute to a strong health, safety and well-being culture within the team and across the business.
- Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and adaptability to change in a fast-paced working environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- Either a 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years relevant administrative or financial work experience.
- Proven ability and confidence using IT systems such as SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including professional written communication.
- Strong customer service ethos with an ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a flexible and responsive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and contribute to team goals.
- A high level of discretion and trustworthiness when working on sensitive matters.
- Full clean EU driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Location
Location is flexible within the Republic of Ireland and will be agreed with the successful candidate - travel may be a feature of the role as required.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€32,000 - €38,000 per annum.
