Position Description
Programme Support
National Programme Delivery are responsible for delivery of several major capital programmes as part of PR6 including upgrade and refurbishment of the MV LV Network, upgrades to the 38kV/110kV distribution substations through the ARMO programme, delivering 1/3 of housing connections and upgrades to the MV distribution programme.
This work is delivered through 400+ contractors. The role of the programme support team member is to prepare, coordinate and update management and reporting documentation for the contractors together with providing clerical support to the contractor enablement team. The role also includes implementation of a range of processes that will be continuously updated to support contractor delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support to Networks Projects Leaders and National Programme Implementation Manager
- Create management files for Contractor Overhead Line Patrol programmes
- Create contractor reporting sheets Contractor Overhead Line patrol programmes
- Create reporting sheets for Resilient Networks Inspections programme
- Manage the request process for Online APP portal uploads
- Review with NPIM progress of work across UG and Stations to include monitoring of work centres changes required and liaising with business support to implement changes
- Support implementation of new process for work closure across OHL, 20kV and Stations
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Either 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
- Full clean driving licence
- Working knowledge of and competency in the use of IT systems such as SAP, SAP ISU and PHR
- Good communications skills with a strong emphasis on customer focus
- A flexible approach to working
- Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
- Working knowledge of ESB Networks Business Processes, SAP and IWM systems an advantage
- Experience of working with contractors
Location
The role can be located in Limerick (Rosbrien Depot) or Dublin South (Leopardstown Campus). While training attendance in the office will be required 5 days a week and when training is complete 2.5 days per week will be a requirement of the role.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

General
It is not anticipated that a staff member still on probation (either new entrant probation or a probation from a previous promotion) will be eligible to apply for a promotional vacancy.
Typically, an individual must have completed their probation and should have at least two years’ experience in their current role before being eligible to apply for a promotion.
An application from a staff member who does not meet the above criteria must have the approval of both the senior line manager and the HRM within the BU before progressing to application.

Salary
€33,000 - 40,000 per annum.
