EMP - Business Support Specialist
Position Description
Applications are invited for the position of Business Support Specialist to the Professional Services Team in Systems Process and Contracts (SPC) in EMP. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for the provision of Contingent Labour and Independent Contractors across ESB. The role requires working closely with many stakeholders and managers across ESB to successfully deliver their Contingent Labour resourcing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include but will not be limited to:
- Advising and supporting Managers on the processes for engaging Contingent Labour including approval processes, required business cases, role profiles required for agencies and project agreement.
- Liaising with Procurement on evaluation of CVs in the mini-tender process.
- Processing Contingent Labour Approval requests on SharePoint workflow for online approval.
- Drafting and processing Project Agreements for signing via DocuSign with Framework Agencies.
- Providing Business support within SPC on Supplier Relationship Management including

- Managing Agencies submissions of CVs
- Creating shopping carts and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
- Goods receipting invoices when appropriate approvals have been received.
- Assisting with queries on SRM workflows and following up on invoice processing queries
- Receiving and Submitting new Vendor requests through the SAP Portal
- Submitting SAP contract request to Procurement on completion of Framework mini tenders.
- Contributing to a strong governmance and control framework for managing contingent labour including ensure managers submit Starter forms and Contractor Access Request forms.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Excellent working knowledge of SharePoint.
Desirable
- Strong organisational ability.
- Knowledge of ESB’s organisation structure and ESB’s Procurement Policies.
- Governmental Knowledge of GDPR.
- Knowledge of SAP SRM systems.
- Two years prior experience of SAP SRM.
Qualifications
Essential
Either 3rd Level qualification and/or relevant equivalent work experience is essential.

The successful candidate may combine remote / smart working within the jurisdiction, with attendance at Engineering & Major Projects, Dublin Airport for in-person collaboration, the frequency of which is agreed with the manager and subject to ongoing review.
