Key Responsibilities 


The key responsibility of the role is to:  


  • Develop Quality Management System (QMS) suitable for offshore through assessing current market trends and best in class delivery 

  • Develop Document Management System (DMS) suitable for offshore through assessing current market trends and best in class delivery 

  • Provide leadership and direction to the offshore wind teams on quality and continuous improvement and ensure robust risk management while optimising opportunities for improvement  

  • Sustain and manage continual improvement initiatives for quality and related processes for all services being delivered  

  • Implement QMS and DMS across ESB’s offshore wind project portfolio 

  • Lead management team peers in developing and sustaining a learning organisation culture   

  • Ensure that quality and continuous improvement is on the agenda across ESB offshore wind projects 

  • Responsibility for the delivery of a strategically aligned Quality and CI training programme across several streams  



Knowledge, Skills and Experience


Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key.  You will have the autonomy to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues.  

We are looking for the following skills: 


  • A minimum of 7 year’s relevant experience  

  • Ability to undertake market investigations and assessments and from which deliver new initiatives 

  • Managing teams to deliver to time scale  

  • Experience of working independently from own initiative, taking ownership of work / projects and motivating team members to deliver team objectives or projects. 

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, in particular the context of dissemination of new concepts 

  • Project Management/Quality Management experience 

  • Experience in the leading of teams (internal or external) to the successful delivery of key deliveries within challenging timeframes. 

  • A strong understanding of ESB’s QMS  


Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

  • A working knowledge of offshore wind projects 

  • Experience in the development of quality management or document management systems 







  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential  





The successful candidate may combine working from home within the Republic of Ireland, with attendance at base in EMP, Dublin Airport in for in-person collaboration, the frequency of which is agreed with the manager and may change as we learn about hybrid working. 

The role will likely involve travel . Travel internationally will also be a feature of this role.
