Position Description 
The Team is responsible for the management of Database and Meter Security activities on behalf of ESB Networks. Meter Security and Database are part of the Retail Market Services (RMS) organisation in ESB Networks. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work as a Team member in Database area and will involve supporting the Team Leader in various operational tasks.  
In addition there will be an opportunity to work closely with associated areas in RMS and ESB Networks e.g., Meter Reading, MRSO, Meter Operations. 
This role would suit an ambitious self-starter who intent on developing a career within Meter Security /Database and the broader RMS organisation. Established career paths have been developed for this team.     
 
Key Responsibilities 

  • The timely updating of the Central Market Database (SAP) for ESB Networks and other Industry participants
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Market Messages
  • Liaising closely with other business functions within RMS and ESB Networks.
  • Resolve customers, suppliers, and staff queries or complaints in line with customer charter.
  • Managing and recording all reported meter security issues.
  • Billing the customers for damaged equipment and unrecorded usage due to unauthorised interference.
  • Confidentiality is a particular requirement in this work area. Working on own initiative to achieve targets. 
     

Experience and Qualifications 
Essential 

  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectiely in a team
  • Attention to detail is critical 

 

Desirable

  • SAP ISU 

 

Location

This position will be based in  Portlaoise, Laois

Salary

€33,000 - €40,000 per annum.
