Position Description

 

ESB Smart Energy Services (SES) was established in 2016 to develop and deliver sustainable energy solutions for large energy users in the UK and Ireland. SES works in partnership with our customers to create long-term shared value by designing, developing and delivering a range of energy solutions “behind the meter” on the customer’s premises, helping them to reduce their energy consumption and meet their sustainability goals.

 

We are now looking to recruit a team member to support the Business Operations function. This is an exciting time to join the SES business and become part of ESB’s Brighter Future.The role of the SES Business Operations Administrator is to ensure that the end-to-end service and customer experience fully meets and exceeds our customer’s expectations, and to support the business in achieving its strategic goals.

 

The Business Operations Administrator manages a number of key business processes including Procurement, Customer Billing and IT.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the customer billing process, liaising with Sales and Finance staff to ensure on-time and accurate billing of our customers, supporting the settlement process and resolving queries.
  • Support the SES team in the procurement of goods and services. In addition to being the primary SAP SRM Shopper on behalf of SES, you will be the go-to person for operational issues relating to procedures around procurement, payment, invoicing and payment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of relevant new business processes, and the continuous improvement and documentation of existing procedures in line with best practice for day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain and manage the SES SharePoint site including access requests from both internal and external users.
  • Provide ongoing support to the wider SES team and respond to ad hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show a degree of initiative and self-direction in identifying the work that needs to be done and delivering it effectively.
  • Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications 

 

Essential

 

  • Strong team working skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages and SharePoint.
  • 1-2 years' experience in similar roles.
  • Knowledge of ESB’s Procurement / Invoice Processing processes.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

 

Desirable

 

  • A professional qualification in finance, business or procurement is desirable but not essential.

 

 

Location

 

The successful candidate will be based in ESB’s Head Office in Dublin or in ESB Customer Solutions office in Swift Square, Dublin 9. Some travel to other work locations in Ireland and Britain may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary 

 

€31,000 - €37,000 depending on experience
