Position Description
The Continuity and System Performance Specialist is responsible for driving Continuity Improvement in the Northwest Region. They will manage the Continuity Programme, develop, and lead Continuity Improvement initiatives and coordinate with the Regional Management team to ensure a consistent and best in class approach to delivering on the relevant Price Review Continuity incentives. They will also be responsible for co-ordinating and rolling out other Network Improvement programmes in the region as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and managing Continuity and other Network Improvement programmes in the Region with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Be a leader and technical expect on Continuity for the region. This includes becoming very proficient in using the required systems e.g. OMS, Apex, Synergee etc.
  • Provide expert advice and coordinate with Area Manager and HV Stations teams in identifying Network Improvements on MV and HV Networks.
  • Design Network Improvement schemes.
  • Manage continuity KPIs on weekly basis.
  • Produce the fault outage data on a daily & weekly basis which includes rectification of incorrect fault data, fault reporting, investigation and follow up.
  • Coordinate with national Continuity team in development of KPIs and identification of WPO/WSC and improvement of same.
  • Continuity and operational optimisation of network performance.
  • Phase Balancing studies.
  • Develop and support the implementation of policies, procedures and systems in relation to Continuity and other Network Improvement programme.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders – Network Assets, Operations, Network Planners, National Continuity team, NNLC and LV System Development team to deliver on region KPIs for Continuity and Network Improvement programmes.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and work plans.
  • Assist in the development of relevant policies and procedures as required.  

 

Experience and Qualifications
Essential 

  • A 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
  • 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to use visualisation of key data and metrics to drive improvement programmes.  
  • Experience in OMS and Apex and Synergee.
  • Organised approach to workload and an ability to work on their own initiative and to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Network Assets.
  • Knowledge of MV and LV Networks.
  • Full clean EU driving licence. Travel required within the Northwest region.

Location
Sligo. Base location is flexible within the Northwest Region.

Salary 
€59,000 - €70,000 per annum
