Position Description

 

ESB is looking for a high performing marketing professional to join the Marketing Communications Team. Reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, the Direct Marketing Executive will be responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, and delivering effective business communications to drive brand affinity, acquisition, and retention across a portfolio of brands, products, and services in a competitive environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Develop and implement integrated creative campaigns, primarily focusing on Below the line & Events, that increase awareness & understanding of our brand, products and services and achieve agreed sales targets across ESB, Electric Ireland and ESB energy.

  • Support the marketing team with the creation and editing of engaging content for various communications channels (Email, SMS, Newsletters, Direct Mail and Event Materials). 
  • Execute best in class email communications that deliver on KPI’s through partnerships with internal stakeholders and agency management.
  • Manage brand presence including stand design and implementation at exhibitions, industry events and experiential activity.
  • Collaborate with key marketing agencies, while ensuring a seamless partnership approach on creative outputs and effective delivery of all consumer communications.
  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with advertising standards, customer codes of practice, regulation, GDPR and Universal Design Guidelines.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communications.
  • Manage and report on assigned marketing budgets.

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Minimum of four years' experience managing the planning, development, and implementation of BTL and events.
  • Third level qualification in Marketing/Communications or equivalent work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Copywriting experience
  • Expertise in briefing and motivating external creative & media agencies to deliver effective campaigns.
  • Energised, driven, resilient; a strong team player with the ability to multitask and capable of working on own initiative.
  • Displays a high level of creative thinking and a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence agendas at all levels of the organisation.

 

 

Location

 

Swift Square, Santry, Dublin 9 in line with ESB's Smart Working arrangements.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary 

 

€48,000 - 56,500 depending on experience.
