B2B Marketing Executive (14 Months)

Vacancy Number:  27134
Category:  Marketing
Job Type:  Temporary Full-time

Position description

We’re looking for an energetic and results-driven B2B marketing professional with a strong track record in marketing activation and stakeholder engagement. This 14-month maternity cover role sits at the heart of ESB’s commercial activity, supporting both Electric Ireland’s B2B business and ESB’s Smart Energy Services.

You’ll lead and drive marketing activity across both areas - shaping plans, creating content, managing campaigns and events, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-impact work. The role requires someone who’s proactive and confident working on their own initiative in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

This role plays a key part in delivering ESB’s strategy to lead the transition to net zero — empowering business customers to reduce energy use and emissions through innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with both businesses to develop and deliver marketing strategies and activations that support commercial goals
  • Plan and manage customer engagement events such as hospitality days, conference exhibiting and other customer focused events
  • Create engaging marketing content including case studies, LinkedIn posts, press releases and event collateral
  • Write campaign and design briefs for internal teams, including the advertising and graphic design teams
  • Work with each business and the advertising team to coordinate the rollout of digital campaigns across channels including LinkedIn, PPC, digital audio and display
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and results to business stakeholders and adapting future briefs accordingly
  • Create and publish content across both business websites, using GA4 insights to monitor performance, report and drive continuous improvements in customer experience

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum 4 years’ marketing experience, including at least 2 in a B2B environment
  • Relevant third level qualification or work experience.
  • Proven project management and strong organisational skills
  • Experience planning and delivering events
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work on your own initiative and to develop effective marketing activations on and offline.

Desirable

  • Experience using GA4 and CMS platforms to manage website content

Location

This position will be based between Swift Square, Santry and Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.

ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
