Position Description

The Customer Relationship Manager is a key commercial role within ESB Telecoms, responsible for developing and managing profitable, long‑term relationships with a portfolio of targeted and Major Accounts. Acting as the primary customer interface, the role is accountable for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring ESB Telecoms is positioned as the provider of choice for telecommunications infrastructure and managed connectivity services.

As a member of the ESB Telecoms Sales and Marketing Team, the Customer Relationship Manager owns the end‑to‑end customer relationship, leading engagement strategies, coordinating internal stakeholders and ensuring delivery of high‑quality customer outcomes. The role involves regular engagement with customers across Ireland, including attendance at customer sites as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage relationships with targeted and Major Accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Develop, manage and progress sales pipelines to support revenue and growth targets
  • Develop and implement Customer Account Plans and engagement strategies
  • Lead regular customer engagements, including New Business Workshops and Service Review meetings
  • Negotiate new contracts and manage internal approval processes in line with governance requirements
  • Manage bad and aged debt in line with agreed commercial processes
  • Ensure all commercial and customer activities are delivered in line with ESB Telecoms governance, policies and procedures

 

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience selling, managing or delivering telecommunications infrastructure or managed services, including Towers and/or Fibre/Data solutions
  • Strong understanding of how to position ESB Telecoms as a provider of choice in a competitive market
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver account strategies to win and grow business
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pipeline management and business case development
  • Confident and effective communicator, comfortable presenting to customer groups
  • Significant experience in customer‑facing roles, with a strong focus on relationship management
  • A minimum of six years’ relevant experience

 

Location

This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry Dublin.

 

Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

 

Reporting To

The successful candidate will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager, ESB Telecoms Limited.

Salary

€49,800 - €58,600 per annum depending on experience
