The Role 

The Customer Solutions Digital Marketing Team is a shared service across ESB Group.

 

ESB wishes to recruit a Search Marketing Manager reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, in the Marketing and Customer Insights Team, this person is responsible for optimizing products and services through search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and campaigns in order to drive customer awareness, increase digital traffic, and grow revenue at key points across the entire customer journey.This involves the management of 8 business units in ESB managing over €1,2m budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for stratetically managing the paid search portfolio in order to reach KPIs of sales, sales leads and other key business objectives for each business unit. This role is also responsible for develop organic search/earned media for each website.
  • Promote and activate automation and grow customer maturity, using creative ways to keep at the forefront of advertising technology.
  • Demonstrate the value of our Search Marketing program and advocate the wider strategic programmatic opportunities with Google Marketing Platform.
  • Plan and develop the Search Strategy to ensure a consistent and 'always on' approach by occasion and campaign for all ESB bands.
  • Develop a Search strategy framework; brand and generic search portfolios to meet 100% impression share to ensure we are competing within our industry that align customer needs with business objectives and KPIs.
  • Communicate in different voices, adapting across brands, audiences, formats, purposes, etc.   Develop guidelines that clearly communicate message, tone and presentation style.
  • Manage the creation of search ads for multiple platforms in conjunction with our creative agencies and campaign managers.  Responsible for ensuring search is engaging and relevant for specific target audiences.
  • Execute strategies for content development in line with SEO targets. Oversee sustainable link acquisition campaigns in line with SEO targets and industry best practice.
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance and insight reports.
  • Analyse and optimise results, developing insights from the data, identifying where improvements can be made.  Increasing the reach produced in a cohesive seeding and distribution plan.
  • Work in collaboration with the web development team and campaign managers to brief online campaigns requirements (landing pages, promotions etc).
  • Manage communications and stakeholder management.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • 3rd Level Qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-5 years+ search marketing experience in both paid and organic search.
  • Experience in the Advertising Technology such as SA360 (Google and Bing), Google Trends, Google Analytics, Google Ads platoform, Performance Max.
  • Extensive experience developing SEO program including use of MOZ.
  • Conversion tracking experience including GTM, remarketing and targeting strategy development.
  • Incorporating new industry KPIs on an ongoing basis including Search of Search.
  • Ongoing testing, optimisations and performance management via bidding strategies, A/B tests, keywords, audiences.
  • Well-organized, analytical, and handle multiple ad-hoc requests simultaneously.
  • Strong copywriting skills across and an eagle-eye attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate in many different voices, adapt for brand, audience, format, purpose etc.
  • Detail oriented, particularly for implementing rules and governance around search and content.

 

Desirable

  • Foundation in marketing and brand experience.
  • Excellent understanding of all marketing channels and multichannels.
  • Experience of all digital marketing channels and the interplay between each to achieve KPIs.
  • A keen sense for and familiarity with UX and visual design.

 

Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential

 

Location

Swift Square, Electric Ireland in line with ESB's Smart Working arrangements.

The successful candidate may combine remote / smart working within the jurisdiction, with attendance at base for in-person collaboration, the frequency of which is agreed with the manager and subject to ongoing review.

Salary 

€43,000- €51,000 per annum.
